All the modal verbs are followed by V1.
The principal English modal verbs are can, could, may,
might, must, shall, should, ought to, will and would.
Examples:
I can speak in English. [Correct]

She promised that she will finish her pending works.

[Wrong]
It may rain tomorrow. [Correct]
It may rained tomorrow. [Wrong]
